I know it's hard to know who to trust in the field of career and employment assistance. Hopefully, you'll get a better picture of who I am, my intentions, and my professional ethics from the following:
For the past six years, I've immersed myself in the field of career services and job placement. I've worked with individuals from all walks of life helping them identify their strengths and take steps to achieve their personal and professional goals. During the traditional work day, I work at Saddleback College assisting students prepare for and secure employment. I take on private clients outside of work hours to 'practice what I preach' when it comes to writing resumes and preparing for the recruitment and selection process.
I hold a Master of Arts in Public Administration from CSU, Long Beach and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA.
I am the President-Elect for the California Placement Association and former chair, now member of the California Community College Chancellor's Office Statewide Advisory Committee for Work-Based Learning and Employment Services. I've developed my knowledge and expertise in the field through listening to experts and employers, initiating innovative programs, and through the work I do with private clients.
I know some are seeking a professional writer with expertise in their industry. I understand the importance of industry details, language, and insights. Through my own professional path, I've worked in the following fields: mental health, social work, vocational rehabilitation, higher education, secondary education, non-profit management, dba/it, and others.
